He'd been turned down by fifty girls, had no idea what a rebound was, and only joined the basketball team to impress the girl he liked. Loud, red-haired and absolutely convinced of his own genius. And yet, game after game, that clumsy delinquent became the reason a lot of us fell in love with sports anime. If you ever tried a dunk on the playground hoop after watching him, you know.
The design
We drew him from scratch at Nakama Clothing, with the swagger of someone who calls himself a genius before he's even scored a basket. Not merch, our own take: basketball fans and anime fans will both get it, and the ones who are both will love it.
